Aselsan Unveils Next-Gen Naval Defense Systems at IDEF 2025

ASELSAN has introduced new generation of naval defense technologies at IDEF 2025, including DERINGÖZ Autonomous Underwater Vehicle, GÖKSUR Vertical Launch System (VLS) Advanced Naval Point Defense Missile System and CENK 4D 2-Axis AESA Multifunctional Radar, all developed to deliver integrated and multi-layered protection across underwater, surface, and aerial naval domains.

ASELSAN, Türkiye’s leading defense company, has introduced three new generation naval defense systems at a launch ceremony at IDEF 2025 in Istanbul, reflecting its dedication to enhancing maritime security for allied forces and naval operators.

In the underwater domain, the company introduced DERINGÖZ Autonomous Underwater Vehicle that enhances operations through autonomous navigation and long-endurance capability adaptable to a variety of tasks. With its ability to operate independently in complex maritime environments, DERINGÖZ provides navies exploration, surveillance, mine countermeasure and protection capabilities.

For surface-level close-in defense, ASELSAN unveiled GÖKSUR VLS Advanced Naval Point Defense Missile System that delivers agile and precise protection against a wide range of low-flying threats, including sea-skimming cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and fast-moving fighter aircraft. Equipped with AI-powered fire control, the system can rapidly detect and engage multiple targets simultaneously under complex conditions.

ASELSAN also launched CENK 4D 2-Axis AESA Multifunctional Radar, the eyes of the naval defense suite, that ensures wide-area situational awareness by continuously scanning hundreds of air and surface targets in real time. Its electronically scanned fixed panels allow the system to maintain stable and precise operation even in high sea states and harsh weather conditions. As for its target identification, IDENTIFFY SSR-850 IFF system integrated to the radar enhances reliability for secondary surveillance, offering high-performance electronic beam steering and increased reliability.

Commenting on the launch of the integrated naval systems, Ahmet Akyol, ASELSAN President & CEO, stated: “At IDEF 2025, we are proudly introducing our naval systems, each designed to address the requirements of today’s and future multidimensional maritime operations. These solutions reflect ASELSAN’s commitment to developing integrated, resilient, and adaptable technologies that strengthen naval forces, both in Türkiye and across the world.”
