“This is probably the biggest event of this year’s MSPO. We are gaining the capability to manufacture missile systems for the Homar-K launchers — this is a historic moment. We are becoming increasingly independent in terms of industrial capacity. We are not just purchasing weapons, but bringing production to Poland” – said Deputy Prime Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz during the ceremony.

The establishment of a new Polish–South Korean special-purpose company focused on defence production marks a historic milestone. Until now, advanced ammunition had been purchased directly from foreign suppliers — it will now be manufactured in facilities located in Poland.

“This is a serious investment. The cost of constructing the plant exceeds one billion PLN. It will create new jobs and enable us to acquire a wide range of technologies. The joint venture is based on a true partnership, and as partners we will jointly execute our projects” – said Piotr Wojciechowski, President of WB GROUP.

“Hanwha WB Advanced Systems will enable the joint development of next-generation ammunition, securing the needs of Poland while simultaneously building export capacity for allied countries. This is a real investment in Poland — in people, in technology, and in Europe’s security” – added Jae-il Son.

“The goal is to enhance security by ensuring that missiles are produced domestically. The ammunition will be fully manufactured in Poland, not only by WB GROUP but also with the involvement of a wide range of local companies. The project also includes the development and implementation of new missile systems aligned with the requirements of the Ministry of National Defence” – Piotr Wojciechowski continued.

“This partnership will enable the production in Poland of missiles for the Chunmoo system — domestically adapted in cooperation with Polish industry and introduced into the Polish Armed Forces as HOMAR-K” – said Jae-il Son, President of Hanwha Aerospace.
